Finally we are out of the rental house, and into our new home in Bastrop!  Business is progressing, with a few glitches - changing emails, changing phone numbers, changing addresses, changing changing changing.  Egads.  So here's the official scoop:  Home phone 512 308 1489.   Cell 512 629 5005  Website obviously is the same.  If the link doesn't work "contact us" (been having problems with it of course) try brenda@housecallgrooming.com.     I'm trying sooo hard to be reachable, and being a new construction area here communication has been a challenge!!!  Clients:  if you're coming up 71 toward Austin for any reason, and have time to call on your way by , give me a call and see if I'm around?  I'd love to see you!!!

 March 2006

Dave and I are just back from the Atlanta Pet Fair, one of the major trade shows of the grooming world! We spent four days studying scissoring, design, technological advancements in grooming, management, scheduling, dog law, and animal behavior.  One of the things on our 'to do' list was to see if we could find a grooming van which would increase our ability to do larger dogs, and which offered more gasoline efficiency along with providing more power for multiple dryers.   Professional grooming van design has changed significantly in the past 5 years, and most obviously within the past year, and it was very exciting to see all these improvements.

For four DAYS we shopped in the groomers mall, discussed van construction with all the van dealers, watched the grooming competitions, swapped ideas with product creators and inventors, and met up with old friends and colleagues from years gone past.

Brenda was inducted into the International Society of Canine Cosmetologists  (DON'T LAUGH, there IS such a thing!!!!)
